Sump Pump Services

What is a Sump Pump?

A Sump Pump is a device that is used to keep water out of and away from the home.  If your basement or crawl space floods, you probably need a sump pump.  Since more than 60% of U.S. home experience below-ground wetness according to the American Society of Home Inspectors, you’re not alone.

How does a Sump Pump work?

The Sump Pump is placed into a sump pit, a basin with a gravel base dug into the lowest part of the basement or crawl space where drain water is collected.  As water enters the pit, a senor turns on the sump pump automatically and it moves the water away from the home through pipes.

What else do I need to know?

Without power, the Sump Pump cannot operate.  To protect your home in the case of a power outage, consider using a battery backup or generator.
